View from My Side of Life
Common sense and other stuff
Ok, this is the way I wish to start my new adventure in blogging (is it still called blogging these days?). I have looked at life through reasonably rational eyes these 40 some years I've walked this earth. I've noticed a few things in these last few years, months, weeks, and days. This is my view of those things.
What is wrong with calling a spade a spade? I have recently read that it is racist to call someone an "illegal alien". They say we should call them "undocumented workers". Well I say the reason they're "undocumented" is that they don't have documents due to the fact that they are here....wait for it....ILLEGALLY. It reminds me of the "you might be a redneck" stuff from a few years ago. If you had to run through a desert, swim a river, or hire someone called a coyote to get here, then you just might be an illegal alien. So, I'm going to keep calling them what they are, people who are in MY country illegally, illegal aliens or if you prefer, criminal aliens. A small bit of advice, if they don't want their feelings hurt by being called what they are, illegally in this country, then maybe they should either stay in their own country or actually do what most people do...follow the rules to gain entry into the United States.
Now, let's take a common sense look at voter ID laws. Why do democrats have an issue with voter ID laws? They say they don't want the poor or minorities disenfrachised by these evil laws passed by the Republicans. I have other ideas but they're not nice ones. Most poor or minorities drive. So having to produce a valid drivers license shouldn't be an issue should it? They would have to produce one of the local law enforcement pulled them over while they were driving. So it should be ok to produce it to do something as important as voting. You have to produce a valid photo ID to cash a welfare check or open a bank account. That doesn't seem as important as voting. You need a valid photo ID most of the time to buy alcohol and that's really not as important as voting. You need a valid photo ID to board a plane, train, rent a car, or dozens of other every day life issues. So what could be the trouble with producing a valid photo ID when voting, something that decides the very future of your country?
The trouble is the democrats know that they won't be able to have Mickey Mouse vote. Mickey Mouse you say? Yes, in several cities across this great land of ours Mickey Mouse has been registered to vote. I've also read stories about dead people voting. Now I'm a big a fan as anyone of zombies but I don't believe they have a right to vote. Unless of course the next disenfranchies group is zombies or cartoon characters. So this all leads me to believe that democrats want cartoon characters and dead people voting for them. Of course, also voting are those illegal aliens mentioned above. When all you have to do is produce a piece of paper or a piece of mail to vote, something is wrong.
Voting is one of the cornerstones of our Republic. It is a sacred duty of citizens to vote. It is also a right that must be defended with the most stringent rules to prevent it from becoming bastardized and polluted. The only reason that people argue against voter ID laws is that they are aiding fraud due to their profitting from the fraud. So we can gather now that cartoon characters, illegal aliens, and dead people are the democrats big focus groups.
