Video: Sen. Kyl says Obama told he he's not going to secure the border
...until he gets what he wants
This is exactly the type of thing I've said all along about how the open borders crowd have approached our immigration problem and how (if at all) they are willing to try to solve it.
The political pressure to do something doesn't come from all of the illegals who want to get an express pass to citizenship, it comes from the US citizens crying out to their elected leaders to stop the flood of illegals. And as the pressure builds on those officials to secure the border in order to stop the flood, some of them try to take action, but then the other crowd that wants to grant amnesty says "only if you agree to make it a 'comprehensive' bill"...meaning we'll agree to secure the border if you agree a wave a wand and make everyone legal.
Same deal that they made with Reagan in 1986 with over a million illegals - only they never got around to the border security.
Now Arizona Senator John Kyl says Obama's told him point blank that he's playing for the same deal. (here's the video)
THIS is the type of thing that should be a scandal with the American people. A sitting President who says he doesn't want to do anything else to help enforce the law until he gets those who want it enforced to agree to give him what he wants.
So much for "preserve, protect and defend" the Constitution. read more »
California college establishes scholarship for illegal aliens (yes, really)
the world really is turning upside down
Given how insane most of the policies in our country seem to be when it comes to illegal aliens, this really doesn't come as much of a surprise. In fact, you could even say it's the logical next step along the road to the open borders reality so many on the left in our country have been working for, (and that some in the GOP give a wink and nod).
But believe it or not, a PUBLIC college in California has just created a scholarship to be awarded ONLY to illegal aliens. Yes, really.
Santa Ana College will dedicate a scholarship for illegal immigrant students in memory of 27-year-old immigration activist Tam Ngoc Tran of Garden Grove, who was killed in a crash involving a suspected drunken driver in Maine on May 15. ...
Tran and 26-year-old Cinthya Felix Perez of Los Angeles were both killed in the crash. The friends were active members of the DREAM Act immigration reform movement, which aims to allow students who are in the country illegally the chance to apply for legal permanent residency, protect them from deportation and make them eligible for student loans and federal work-study programs.
Secure our Borders, Enforce our Laws Tour
Jeff Duncan and Minuteman Project founder, Jim Gilchrist, will be traveling the 3rd Congressional District Monday and Tuesday (May 24th & 25th) on the Secure our Borders, Enforce our Laws tour.
Jeff has been a leading advocate in the state Legislature for tougher laws aimed at discouraging illegal immigration. In Congress, Jeff will fight for enhanced border protection systems and disrupt all attempts to grant any form of amnesty to illegals. Enforcing our immigration laws and securing our borders must be a top priority in the next Congress.
Come out and show your support for securing our nations' borders and demand action against illegal immigration from Washington.
