Yet another example of Hillary's supporters using the race angle against Obama...but this time, it's a black guy doing her dirty work. From Dick Morris:
Hillary Clinton, who had told Tim Russert on "Meet the Press" earlier on Sunday morning that if someone on her staff engaged in personal attacks against Barack Obama that person "would be gone," failed to take action or to distance herself from the founder of BET when he launched such an attack.
Well, I've said it before. It was just a matter of how soon it would happen. And with Obama's big win over Hillary (and her 3rd place finish) in Iowa, it's starting a little sooner. The Clintons are about to go nuclear on Obama. Don't believe me? Is Bubba's word good enough. Check out the following from the Chicago Tribune: read more »
What's up with Hillary's campaign? A lot of people are wondering...from beltway types, to Dems...to some Clinton insiders. The increased negative talk even caused Hillary to do a conference call with her campaign leadership to put down talk that a major campaign shake-up was on the way. read more »
The reports of Bill Clinton's appearance in Muscatine, Iowa on Tuesday leaves me just shaking my head
. It seems most media outlets this evening are just as puzzled as I am regarding his stump appearance for wife, Hillary. read more »
I want your thoughts on this. I think it's right-on. Comedian Jackie Mason attacks Barack Obama on his Youtube vlog.
Mason writes...
Stop With The Racism Thing Already! Barack Obama says that there is still racism from whites in this country because he has trouble getting a cab sometimes in New York. Give me a break! How many white cab drivers are there in New York? Today, the richest woman in America, Oprah, our Secretary of State, and the Junior Senator from Illinois, Barack himself, is black. How racist could our society really be? read more »
From Newsmax:
Billionaire financier Warren Buffett said he admires the "vision" of Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama and would help their presidential campaigns if they sought his aid.
"I'll help either one of them if they ask," Buffett said at a charity luncheon in New York on Wednesday.
"They've got the intellect. They've got a vision of the kind of America they want to have."
Well, the big debate's over and the analysis spin has begun (or really started before the debate)...
Dick Morris' column is out today and, in his opinion, Obama came out ahead in that he didn't screw up, (and thus feed the "inexperience" charge). read more »
It ain't easy being Hillary. As far as the general public is concerned, she's the single most divisive major political figure in the Democrat party; while the various liberal constituencies that constitute the Democrat's party base worry that she's not liberal enough. Some who consider her too far to the right on the war issue even took to heckling her at a recent speech to the Democrat National Committee.
Poor Hillary. It's not as though she's brought any of these problems on herself. First, there was her clumsy entrance onto the national political stage in 1992 with that famous reference to "not staying home and baking cookies" or "standing by her man like Tammy Wynette" in vague reference to Bubba's past indiscretions.
