It cannot begin to dispel the immense stench of the rotting carcass that is Barack Obama’s government and Congress… but it’s a start, a bare start, or more correctly, a starting point.

The Conservatives are hitting the beach running, and it’s a good thing too. We have plenty of very hard work, and even harder choices to make, in the next two years. The run-up to 2012 has already started, with some some of the usual suspects named ‘considering’ possible runs for the presidency.

There’s no one out there so far that I’m really excited about, though there are some with whom I have some real reservations. I know Dee is busily ferreting out information on runners and possible runners, and we’ll talk about them from time to time.

I’m not going to fall for the Sarah Palin run gambit though. If she decides on a run, she would be a very formidable opponent for anyone the Marxists threw up there against her. She is simply the most exciting political figure of our time. She generates the same level of excitement that John Kennedy was able to command. The Marxists had better hope she doesn’t run. She may decide not to this time. She may decide she’s more powerful and flexible outside of a campaign, traveling the nation in support of Conservative candidates and issues.  read more »

Some of the emotion that must have consumed Francis Scott Key, the night that he penned what was to become the sacred anthem of our country, has rubbed off on me. I can imagine what it must have looked like. Anybody who has ever been in the infantry knows about night time illumination and pyrotechnics. I’ve always thought it would make quite a show if it weren’t so deadly.

The British Navy, the most powerful military machine in the world, couldn’t defeat Ft. McHenry. Other accounts told of uncounted numbers of bombs, rockets and mortar shells lighting the night sky and falling on the fortress. At the height of the British bombardment, Key looked up to see our flag still flying.

We are watching the 112th Congress hit the ground running, with all, or most, of the conservative agenda plainly marked in the Republican arsenal. We have just come through our own two year Fort McHenry. The Conservative Republican banner is flying high above the Capitol once more. Don’t screw it up this time guys. An immediate vote to repeal Obamacare stands a darned good chance of passing the House, reflecting the Conservative promise to quickly illuminate lawmakers’ stances on the bill by calling for the quick vote.  read more »

Time was we could safely plan ahead with some confidence, knowing that a certain stability could be expected. I understand now the admonitions of those who lived through the great depression. They cautioned against unnecessary spending and persisted in counting every penny… several times. We, who had never really known a day of want, shrugged them off as ‘old fashioned’.

We, in our turn, lived through the economic doldrums of the Carter administration with its 22% interest rates, high unemployment and the presidency that became synonymous with ‘stagflation’ and the Iran hostage crisis. This present depressed recession has made Jimmy’s economy look smokin’ hot.

We’ve always known that big business and politicians manipulate economies for monetary gain and political advantage, which amounts to the same thing. This ‘stagcession‘ has put new emphasis on the lessons our elders tried to teach us about thrift and, most of all, self sufficiency. We are probably the least self sufficient population in American history.

This economic black hole, into which the Marxists are determined to plunge us, has had the effect of forcing the average American to observe everything he does in detail. Therefore, he begins to watch everything else as well. We’ve had to agonize over the smallest expense while we’ve watched the massively bloated monstrosity that is our government openly conspiring against we the people.  read more »

I know now how our patriot forefathers, good British subjects all, could have been forced into acts of civil disobedience followed by open rebellion against what they saw as a government out of control and committing illegal acts against the citizens of the colonies.

I, and many other patriots, have been experiencing these same emotions. It’s not easy to stand by and watch the Marxist cabal shred the Constitution and the rule of law. They used to do it undercover and in secret. Now they are doing it out in the open.

I’ve taken on the Republican establishment often enough that no one is going to accuse me of carrying their water. The Republicans did do a magnificent job of political guerrilla warfare while severely outnumbered in both the House and the Senate.

The Marxists got Obamacare passed, but it cost them the House as their illegal and unconstitutional behavior was stripped bare and exposed for all of America to bear witness to. The Republicans delayed, used the power of the patriot movement to influence lawmakers and staged no less than seventy six filibusters. Remember Al Gore, when he came out with that smarmy ad in which he says “The Earth has a fever”, or some such? Well, it has a fever ok, but not the one created by Gore’s fevered brain.

America today is faced with an entire globe that’s as flammable as gasoline on a hot summer’s day. With the exception of Europe, at least for now, just about anywhere you care to pick there are conflicts… actual, on the back burner, on the front burner or on the planning table.

South America is now starting to look like Russia’s Cuba being replayed with Iran’s Venezuela. To our direct south is a Mexico devolved into a narco-state… its government mired in a perpetual system of sanctioned corruption. No longer satisfied with just throwing their hopelessly poor and uneducated at us, they are actively sanctioning terror by giving tacit approval to the known terrorist traffic across its jurisdiction, disguised in the tens of thousands flooding across our undefended southern border every year.

Africa is a slowly boiling sludge pot of suffering humanity, mostly due to the gentle ministrations of the muslims’ genocidal assaults on Christians and other sub-groups. With China now in the mix in Africa, anything can happen.

The middle east is a leaking powder keg long overdue to go off, with many otherwise liberal Israelis coming to realize that there can be no peace with terror. No pointless and militarily indefensible limp-wristed political ‘land for peace’ will satisfy this enemy. The rest of the middle east watches closely in fear of a nascent nuclear monster in Iran and secretly, and recently not so secretly, hopes that Israel takes them out first.  read more »

While the president is sneaking around making appointments behind Congress’s back, the 111th Congress will not go down in history as one of the worst in the history of this country, but as the worst Congress that ever darkened the halls of government, with their drive to push our already staggering economy over the edge, to complete the destruction started with their manipulation of the sub-prime mortgage market that precipitated the entire mess to start with.

True to their Marxist ideology, this lame duck Congress is continuing to write and pass harmful and highly questionable legislation right to the bitter end, when most of them will be able to ride off into the sunset without fear of retribution for the illegal and patently unconstitutional activities of which they were a part. Most, but not all.

Conservative Republicans are going to be asking many very pointed questions on a wide array of issues. I imagine paper shredders are working around the clock in the Capitol just now, as the Marxists attempt to cover their rears. The Republicans should do absolutely nothing until the cavalry arrives on Jan 3. Let’s hope the leadership listens to these fresh, intelligent, patriotic members who have sworn to return the United States of America to her status as the greatest Constitutional Republic in the history of the world.  read more »

We need only look toward any of the world’s Marxist/Leninist masterpieces to know that we just don’t want to go that way… and while we’re at it we don’t want the Obama – Reid – Pelosi brand either, we made that quite plain this last November.

We don’t like what they’ve done. We don’t like what they’d like to do if they get the chance. We cannot depend on the Republicans anymore, if we ever could. The establishment party seems to have turned back the clock and are determined to relive the ‘good old days’ of the Repubics (thanks, Mark). Nothing has changed for these dudes, despite the overwhelming evidence that had the Republican party been on their own this last election cycle, they would not have taken the House.

Let’s pretend for a second that there was no patriot uprising. What would have happened is that they’d have had their butts kicked all over the place. The Republican Party was all but brain dead two years ago and couldn’t generate the amount of energy necessary to keep a candle lit.

I know people who have escaped from totalitarian countries, coming to America seeking the freedom which we have taken so much for granted. In point of fact, we’ve all but squandered the greatest gift the Almighty ever granted any people. What remains to be seen is whether we have the sand to do the job. We’ve made a bare start with the Republican sweep of the Congress.

So far, it’s been a mixed bag, with Republicans deal-making to get a two year extension on the reduction of the Clinton tax increases… How easily we forget. We watched as our new speaker-in-waiting, who has been making very conservative noises all this time, jump out and announce his intention to appoint two highly dubious re-treads to key committee chairmanships. If that wasn’t enough to rattle your cage a little, he then appears on a nationally syndicated Marxist-controlled television interview program, where he blubbers like a baby. No wonder our political enemies have a tough time taking us seriously.

Looking around the country, we’d better be getting damned serious about stopping this Marxist agenda dead in its tracks. To see a mirror on today, one only need call upon the past. There are some disturbing parallels between the America of today and the rise of the National Socialists in pre World War Two Germany. The demonization of certain selected groups, the centralization and subordination of industry and commerce by the government, the organization and maintenance of a private army (the Brownshirts), later replaced by the SS and the Gestapo.  read more »

First and foremost has got to be the repeal of ‘Obamacare’. All over the nation there are stories of people’s insurance rates going through the roof, as insurance companies are forced to raise their premiums in the face of huge new regulatory demands in the health care legislation.

Worse still, one of the largest groups to which Obama sold his bill of goods was our seniors. After he insisted that seniors would get to keep their Medicare and their own doctors, Barry Hussein then immediately strips five billion dollars away from Medicare to offset the cost of forcing forty million people into a one-size-fits-all mandatory government health care system whether they like it or not… and most unequivocally don’t.

Then the other shoe fell and, just as predicted by conservatives all over the country, doctors began withdrawing from Medicare, telling their elderly patients that they could no longer treat them. This was never popular legislation to start with, other than with a few Marxist clones with a self-hatred complex and a need for someone to direct their lives for them.

When the nation saw the abyss into which the Obama administration and the Congressional Marxists were pushing the nation, the nation pushed back… and pushed. The new Mossad director, Tamir Pardo, will get his first taste of conflict next month. Not from Iran or any of the Arab countries, not even from the UN. It will come from Britain, most likely in the form of Foreign Secretary William Hague, who, you may remember, quickly condemned Israel over the Mavi Marvara incident before the facts were even known.

London’s ‘Telegraph’ newspaper, which is usually one of the more trustworthy dailies, has reported that Pardo will apologize for the use of British passports in the Mahmoud al-Mabhouh affair, the Hamas official killed in Dubai a year ago. It goes on to say that Pardo will explain that he personally condemned the use of foreign passports before the alleged assassination took place.

I might be wrong on this, but it sure looks like they are trying to make nicey-nicey with the new guy on the block. While they are afraid of an ensuing backlash should they show forgiveness to incumbent Meir Dagan, they have invented a story which absolves the new chief of any blame. The fact is, Tamir Pardo was not active within Mossad at that time.

The British strategy is twofold. Firstly, they could put the passport issue to bed, blaming the previous director while absolving his replacement. Secondly, they could look at re-installing the Mossad station chief who was expelled over the incident.  read more »
