Now that the Republicans and Democrats have finished their political conventions, I want to share a few thoughts as we began the home stretch for the November 6, 2012 elections. It is uncontested that Republicans continue to support and stand for moral and spiritual values, which they unanimously included in the Republican Party Platform from its conception.
Then we have the Democrats, who voted for a platform that was void of moral and spiritual values until their convention leadership placed “God”, by name only, back in their platform, even though the delegates clearly voted to keep Him out. Out of the entire Democratic Convention, it is that platform vote that should be a major warning to all Americans who understands the important role that the belief in God played in our country’s Founding. It is unbelievable that the Democrats really voted to kick God out of their party … or is it?
After all, it is the liberal left and their representatives in every branch of our Government, that kicked God out as the Creator of the Universe .. that kicked God out of the hospital delivery room .. that kicked God out of our public school system .. that kicked God out of the sanctity of the institution of marriage .. that kicked God out of the human DNA structure that He created .. and the list would go on and on! And they even flaunt their decisions in the face of God; by saying it is their “Christian” faith that led them to these positions.
Let this writer be clear, you cannot believe in evolution, abortion, separation of church and state, gay marriage, and homosexuality as a gender, and be a real Christian! Every one of those beliefs are in direct opposition to God’s written Word and what He instituted as acceptable and pleasing to Him. After all, America’s Founding Fathers, established our Government and its supporting legal structure based on principles found in God’s Word, and even said that this Republic Government was totally inadequate to govern an ungodly people. Daniel Webster stated, "God intends you to choose for rulers just men who will rule in the fear of God...If the citizens neglect their duty and place unprincipled men in office, the government will soon be corrupt."
This makes us fast forward to today, where we can clearly see the wisdom of our Founders. Almost half of Americans support the Democratic Party, and live their lives void of a true spiritual compass. This brings me to the title of this column, “The 3-D Democrats”. Today’s current Democratic Administration has specialized in Deception, Dishonesty, and Destruction.
Deception: As an American, I feel that this President and his Administration has systematically tried to change, or transform my country to a more socialistic form of Government. They have consistently ignored the Republican principles of Government found in the Constitution, even though every one of them took their oath of office, swearing to defend the Constitution. Even though Mr. Obama is the President of The United States of America, his stated goal has been to transform our country into a new America, and the Democrats have been in total support of his vision.
Dishonesty: After four years of this Democratic Administration, I am now at the point where I never believe anything that President Obama says. It is so bad that Obama can say in a speech about small business owners, “You didn’t build that,” then he and his spokespersons look straight into the camera lens of the public and state that he didn’t say that! You can fill a full length documentary on the promises he made to us, then failed to fulfill, and finally denied that he really meant what he said! With every failure of the Democrats policies, Obama refuses to accept any responsibility for his decisions, but always blames someone else. That is dishonesty at its ugliest.
Destruction: Consider these American foundations that this Democratic administration has destroyed; Free Enterprise, Capitalism, our Economy, individual controlled Health Care, reasonable unemployment levels, Home Ownership, reasonable energy and gas prices, freedom of conscience to be able to make our own decisions on how to live our lives, a reasonable federal budget / deficit, the fact that our Constitution as written and its original intent IS the law of the land, and the Founding principles of our Christian Nation. And this is just the “A” list! All of this in less than four years of this administration, which is unheard of in our country’s history.
The election of November 6th will truly determine the fate of America as we have always known it. If Obama and the Democrats would do all of this knowing that they had to face an election in which they could be held accountable , can you just imagine what they will do if re-elected and there is no accountability? I for one intend to take this stand for the Republican form of Government that America was founded to be. John Adams stated; “The general principles on which the fathers achieved independence were the general principles of Christianity.”
A popular slogan of the conservatives is that we should return to the principles established by our Founding Fathers. Understand this, America cannot return to those principles unless we actually elect leaders that hold the same standards of the Founders. Another Founding Father, Dr. Benjamin Rush, summed it up this way; “The only foundation for … a republic is to be laid in Religion. Without this there can be no virtue, and without virtue there can be no liberty, and liberty is the object and life of all republican governments.”
America, as it has always been known, demands that we make the right decision this November.
