Abbas Applies For Palestinian Statehood, Will Not Recognize Israeli State [8]
Here is the shocker of a lifetime, isn’t it? The Palestinians have asked the United Nations for a statehood declaration, but the Palestinians STILL refuse to acknowledge the right of Israel to exist. This has, as far as I know, never happened at the United Nations and it should not be allowed to happen this time. The member-states can get up and cheer for the Palestinians all they want, but at the end of the day they are cheering for a group of people, headed by Hamas, that will do everything in their power to destroy the nation of Israel. Is that something to be clapping about? Are these other nations in belief along with the Palestinians that Israel does not have the right to exist? It seems to me that if you are going to stand up and clap for a people that would kill their neighbor faster than you can say Holy Land, you are supporting a people that do not have the right to be included in such a body.
Just imagine that the United States was not a member-state at the United Nations and they applied for statehood. During that time they told the United Nations that they wanted statehood, but they would not recognize the right of Canada to exist. I doubt there would be many standing ovations for that declaration, but it seems to be a different situation. Those who want to see a Palestinian state have no idea what they are asking for, and the United States would never allow the United Nations to approve something like this. I know President Obama seems friendly with the Palestinians and probably is too friendly for being an American President, but the fact remains this will never happen outside of the negotiating room, and even there is not much of a chance it would happen there, either.
There are people around the world that are asking why the Palestinians cannot have their own state. They say it is not right for Israel to have the land and it is the Palestinians place to live in peace as well. That might be correct if the Palestinians actually wanted to live in peace. As I have stated earlier, Hamas has called for the destruction of Israel. There is no denying that, no matter how many on the Left in this country want to deny that. On that basis alone they do not deserve a place at the U.N. or their own state, because we know their own state and their own land would not be good enough for them. They would want more and would not stop going after Israeli land until they had it all. If that is something you would like to see, I would like to hear an explanation as to why that is. Why is it that those at the United Nation believe that the Palestinians should be allowed their own land but will not stand up against the call for the destruction of a member-state at the United Nations. This is why the U.N. has no place in America, and why the American delegation should get up and walk out and never come back. Since America is the one that funds most of the body, it would not take too long for it to pass away into the history books as another failed attempt at a one-world governing body.
PA President Abbas stood up in front of the United Nations today saying that the Palestinian people were just looking for their freedom, just like those all over the Middle East. If anyone out there actually buys that I have a great spot on Jupiter for sale and it is priced great. We all know about Hamas and what they want to do to the Israeli people, to get in front of the United Nations and say that the people only want to live in peace is a lie if I ever heard one. This is about dominating a piece of land, and it always has been. This is not a new fight and it will never be resolved because the tension between the two have rocked each other for far too long. The only question that remains is that will the veto by the United States start more hostilities in the region between the Palestinian Authority and the Israelis?
This is very easy to understand and should not be made more difficult than it is. The fact is that Hamas has called for the destruction of Israel, Israel has a right to exist, so as long as Hamas has a part in the Palestinian government and as long as that government calls for the end of Israel as it exists today, they should not and more than likely will not be given statehood. This is not because the “Zionists” are running the world. There is a very simple and logical explanation for what this is, and that is that the Palestinians want to run the streets of Jerusalem with the blood of the Jews and they will stop at nothing until they rule what they perceive to be “their” kingdom on Earth once more.
Even though there are many in America that say we should stay out of this, we are in it to help an ally in the region. How would this nation feel if we had bombs coming in everyday and hitting schools from one of our neighbors? Would you hope OUR allies would come to the rescue if we needed it, you would you still say that we could take care of it on our own. While we may be able to take care of it on our own there may be a day where we cannot, and leaving an ally to fend for itself could come back to haunt us later down the road.
