Study Finds ObamaCare Will Jack Up Premiums By At LEAST 55% [8]
We on the right are saying “I told you so” today, but it would not be the first time we did so. Since the bill was passed into law and signed by the President, individuals like myself have been pointing out that health care coverage prices would go up in some way, but those Democrats who are so happy to have this plan will not hear it. They are still happy about the passage of the law, even though they will have to pay more as well. With the taxes going higher, more money going to health care, and energy prices on the rise, we as Americans are going to have a lot less money when it comes to buying anything else that we enjoy. This is not because we did not fight hard enough against the law, because we did. We protested in Washington and made our stance to Congress that this is not what we wanted. The polls showed the majority of Americans were against the plan, yet the Democrats pushed it through. They were so excited and planned a whole march to the chamber to make sure everyone seen their accomplishments. The only problem is their accomplishments, if left unchecked by SCOTUS, will cost every single hard working American more money. I would ask the President and those Democrats in Congress how this is fair!
I have been around politics long enough to know that just because it is not fair doe not mean it will not happen. I am a realist, and the realist in me says the Democrats will do anything to make sure this law sticks. The only hope we the people have now is the Supreme Court, and that is not a sure bet. We have to come to the realization right now that we may be stuck with this, and if we are what will the Republicans do to get rid of it if and when they take the White House and also the Presidency next year. That question is something that has been asked of the candidates, but as we have seen in the past it is much more difficult to get rid of these programs once they are started than it is to stop them in their tracks when it comes to passing them. We have the fight of the century on our hands, and I am not so sure the American people are up for it.
Of course no one wants to pay higher premiums, deductibles, or pay for someone’s health care in general. To say that ALL of America will just sit aside as this takes place and allows the government to take more money would be ridiculous to even say. We know that businesses will stop offering employees insurance, and those employees will be shipped to the government insurance plans. Once that happens and the money that doctors get for seeing government patients is lowered, many doctors will opt of of the system. This will cause a back-up in the medical services industry which will cause more people to not get the care they need when they need it. This is what the Democrats had in mind when they passed this legislation, and they got what they asked for.
We the people did not get what we asked for, however. Remember we were promised LOWER health care premiums, and they have done nothing but go up for those with private insurance since the inception of this law. Nothing is going down, and those on the Left who defend this bill should open their wallets and allow us to jump in so we can take back what is rightfully ours. The money for this will come from you and me, those who have worked and will be working in the future. The money will come from businesses and those who are “not paying their fair share”, and in turn will hurt the economy even more. With everyday that passes I start to believe this was done on purpose to level the America that we know and love. I begin to believe that the President and the Congress want all of us to pay them everything we make so they can do with it what they will. They do not want a free market system where I get to choose, but they will scream and yell when I tell them I am against abortion. You know what they say, you hear it all the time: “Women have the RIGHT to CHOOSE”. Women have the right to choose when it comes to their body, but all of America does not have the right to choose when it comes to this health mandate. Those on the left know we see the hypocrisy in their statements and in their lives, yet they keep going down the same road.
America is different than other places in the world. The people think differently than those in Europe and in other places. We believe we can pick ourselves up and it is the individual, not the government, who decides what a persons life will be like. President Obama would like you to believe that we are a nation of hand-outs and give-aways, like this was a blue light special at your local K-MART. That is not the case and only became the case when Progressives took this nation down the road of Socialism many decades ago. The many years of fighting came to an end when they got their national health care law, and now in the courts they fight to save their prize legislation while the people are buried under the taxes and the fees that come along with it. The President talks about the middle class as if he feels their pain, but he has no idea the pain he is putting the middle class through. He will go down in the history books, when it is all said and done, as the President who tried to Socialize the rest of America. It will be up to us if that book reads that he failed at his attempt or that he succeeded. It will be up to us to fight this not only while it is in the courts but during the next election as well. While the economy will be number one on the list of topics, this should not be far behind because it has everything to do with the economy. We need to keep up the fight so that our children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren are able to experience an America that I will probably never get to see.
If we truly care about the next generation and those after we will keep fighting the talking points with the facts and allow the truth to be revealed through the words and the writings of all of us out there that know what this will do and what it is already doing. If we choose to except defeat, America will not be too far behind on the chopping block and we will be nothing more than a statistic on the old chalkboard of time.
