I guess that I have joined the ranks of being a 'Birther', because I would like to see Obama's birth certificate too. I only have one question about this. Why, spend millions of dollars in legal fees if you have the appropriate document proving us wrong? That alone makes Obama look guilty of not being born in the US.
Donald Trump, obviously is a smart person - look at his wealth he has built. He also question's whether or not Obama is a true-blue American. Trump said that “the fact is that we haven’t seen his birth certificate,” arguing that the short-form certificate Obama showed was “some document” that didn’t confirm anything. This whole issue would be laid to rest if the birth certificate was shown.
When I searched the internet for the true meaning of what a 'Birther' is, I came across the Urban Dictionary meaning, some of these are hilarious.
Birther [2] - A racist sore loser who can't deal with having a black president so they make up absurd conspiracy theories about Barack Obama's birth certificate. These nutjobs actually believe that there has been a conspiracy going back 48 years to fake Barack Obama's birth certificate. Apparently they had a crystal ball and knew that this black child (born in the days of segregation) would someday run for President.
A knuckle dragging gutter culture warrior related to tea bagging citizens who don't want to pay taxes because they don't support our troops. "Obama's parents were so smart they planned 50 years ago to have a baby on foreign land and get him elected into the White House so he can raise taxes to pay for our troops. It's true I am a tea bagging birther"
I guess I just don't see why being a 'Birther' would be a bad thing, it's not like we are asking for a non-legit document that could not be produced because it never existed - it's a birth certificate. I certainly am not a racist, but I guess if following along with what the Constitution says is being a racist, then I guess I am racist.
If you're going to be involved in government in the United States, citizenship is a must. To be a Senator or Representative, you must be a citizen of the United States. To be President, not only must you be a citizen, but you must also be natural-born. Aside from participation in government, citizenship is an honor bestowed upon people by the citizenry of the United States when a non-citizen passes the required tests and submits to an oath.
Documents Serving as Primary Evidence of U.S. Citizenship
In most cases, documents serving as “primary” proof or evidence of citizenship are required. Documents serving as primary evidence of U.S. citizenship are:
- Previously issued, undamaged US passport
- Certified birth certificate issued by the city, county or state of birth
- Consular Report of Birth (of U.S. citizen) Abroad or Certification of Birth (CRBA)
- Naturalization Certificate
- Certificate of Citizenship
So if Obama is such an American as he and his followers say, show us the Birth Certicate, prove us wrong, and then we can move on. The 14th Amendment [3] was put in the constitution for a reason, and that was to keep non-legal-citizens in the US out of government in which they may try to bring America to her knees, sort of what Obama has been doing since being elected to the office of president.
Qualifications for the office of president:
Age and Citizenship requirements - US Constitution, Article II, Section 1
No person except a natural born citizen, or a citizen of the United States, at the time of the adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the office of President; neither shall any person be eligible to that office who shall not have attained to the age of thirty-five years, and been fourteen years a resident within the United States.
To Obama: 'Prove us all wrong!'
