Fast and Furious Attorney General Eric Holder's Obstruction of Justice, is this FuriousGate?
More damaging emails on the "Fast and Furious" scandal were received by Congressman Darrell Issa, of the Congressional Committee on Government Oversight and Reform, had received within a twenty four hour period.
Mike Vanderboegh, citizen investigative reporter, attended the Washington hearings of the House Judiciary Committee during the questioning of Attorney General Eric Holder on the Fast and Furious scandals. Rep Issa stated he would release more information.
Vanderboegh stated that this could cause a political tsunami stated:
"Wouldn't be surprised, now that Issa dropped the tactical nuke of more emails "turned over last evening" (meaning that somebody else has rolled--either breuer or Weinstein--that Holder's resignation "for the good of the adminstration to avoid further distraction will be announced late tomorrow ".
The citizen reported
'The game is by no means ended. If anything, it is just beginning"
Eric Holder stated he would guarantee we will have another Oversight Committee hearing in January.
This may not be enough for Rep Issa due to the political storm that would ensue due to the findings in the emails, and if there is more evidence of obstruction/deception of Holder. There are many questions on who was the highest official who had/should knowledge of this International incident where a Federal Agent, Brian Terry.,was murdered. Attorney General Holder admitted he knew there would be more murders on both sides of the border in the future? This is an international scandal of epic proportions that is being consistently ignored or obstructed by Atorney General Eric Holder. President Obama has consistently stated he has "full confidence" in Holder. That does not seem to be shared by the Oversight Committee and over 50 members of Congress. read more »
Good Riddance to Bad Postage
The United States Postal Service is once again threatening to scale back service due to budget shortfalls.
Earlier this year the postal service warned that it would cut Saturday delivery if it didn’t get an emergency infusion of cash from the federal government to pay off its staggering debts.
Last week the USPS announced that, as part of a $3 billion cost-cutting plan to help it avoid bankruptcy, the agency planned to eliminate one-day delivery, such that all letters would be delivered in a minimum of two days, even if they’re only going next door. To get your letter delivered by the next day, you’ll have to go to the nearest processing center and drop off your letter before final pickup, thus carrying out half of the mail delivery service yourself.
Complicating matters, the postal service expects to close half of its processing centers and reduce its workforce by 100,000 employees over the next few years through layoffs, attrition, and retirement.
The postal service has known about its financial woes for years. Yet statist Congresses have forbidden it from taking effective action to right its situation. Its current debt is a result of its failure to make $5.5 billion in annual payments to cover its insanely generous retiree packages.
Many USPS sympathizers insist we should do anything we can to preserve this great American institution. Senator Susan Collins, RINO of Maine, has proposed the 21st Century Postal Service Act of 2011. Recently she wailed, “Time and time again in the face of more red ink, the postal service puts forward ideas that could well accelerate its death spiral.” read more »
The Myth of Raising Scores in Standardized Tests
It is no secret that the prime example which proponents use in the argument to raise scores via standardized tests is China. Upon the first results of international test scores released that included China (see the article here), the New York Times touted the communist country’s “stunning” results that were ahead of the pack.
With this information coming from the New York Times it should be no surprise that these results are seen in a favorable light. What is inexcusable is what the article leaves out which are the mitigating factors that contribute to the high scores.
Persons who are more than happy to jump on the “American kids are stupid” train also have a predisposition to ignore factors (and too willingly accept whatever the latest craze in education may be) but for those willing to argue against this mindset, here are the “forgotten” facts.
It is Illegal to Have More than One Child in China
What does this mean and what does it have to do with test scores? It means that for every child enrolled in the school system there is at least two or three at home who are denied an education. These kids are sent to work in a labor-oriented vocation (agriculture or manufacturing pirated products) that does not require an education. To use an analogy, I teach martial arts. Teaching in those conditions would be the equivalent of removing all of the students who do not have a black belt and thus lowering the number of students enrolled in the program. The level of skills of those left in the program would skyrocket (since the focus would be on them) and everyone would have a black belt! Education for a select few. read more »
Obama's need for class warfare
King Solomon put it best when he said “there is nothing new under the sun”. And so it is with politics.
Even now, political history is repeating itself. We have a Democrat in the White House giving speeches about how America is losing its spirit in the midst of a recession and high unemployment – just like Jimmy Carter in his “Malaise speech” in 1979. And we have polls indicating that what Americans are really getting tired of is the President. Again, just like with Carter.
According to the latest Gallup poll, only 42% of the public approve of Obama’s job performance – fewer than any other president at this point in office since the dawn of polling. And the opinions are pretty strong.
According to pollster Scott Rasmussen, only 23% “strongly approve”, while 38% “strongly disapprove”, leaving Obama fifteen points in the hole when it comes to those who have any passion to their opinions. Further, 3/4ths of voters think that the nation is on the “wrong track”, and over half of the country still opposes his biggest legislative success, ObamaCare, and want to see it repealed.
Of course none of this bodes well for re-election, which explains Obama’s reach for another historical retread – class warfare.
For decades, liberal political strategy has been built around buying large segments of the electorate with government largesse and, more often than not, doing it with borrowed money. Obama’s problem is that his administration comes at a time when most everyone has realized that the national credit card is maxed out, and that the bank won’t increase the limit. read more »
I Am Sooo Fed Up…
And I’m not alone. No, not by several long-shots. I’m tired of watching good people be chewed up by the unholy alliance between the left and its symbiont, the Lame Stream Press. What bothers me even further is that ‘Republicans’ seldom, if ever, rally around one of our own. The RINO Republican establishment types quake in their boots every time an attack is launched against one of our people.
Such timidity may make the establishment types feel ‘secure’ and smug in their arrogance, but as we have seen with the establishment’s track record for picking winners… abysmal might fit the description.
I made no bones about my support for Herman Cain, though it fell short of an actual endorsement. Now, Herman Cain has officially withdrawn his candidacy. The perfect storm of bimbo eruptions bursting around him would have disrupted any campaign. It’s pretty obvious to me that this entire satire has been engineered by, and for, the Obama White House with the help of a few ‘friends’ like David Axelrod and Rahm Emanuel.
The final straw for Herman was the last bimbette trotted out by the left, Ginger White, who, in a fit of timing just all too cozy for belief, claimed to have had a thirteen year cross country affair with Cain which he unequivocally denies. Now, just like all the other claimants, she can’t or won’t specify one single specific date, time or location. She, just like all the others, seems to be a financial basket case. The only thing missing from this charade is the vulture-like Gloria Allred. I guess she lost interest when nothing came of her previous forays. read more »
The "Brilliance" of Barry the Hustler in Chief!
I, like all Americans have spent the last 4 1/2 years listening to the socialist ruling class elites and their propaganda machine espouse the mental superiority of one Barack Hussein Obama aka. Barry Soetoro. They have elevated his supposed intellect to equate it to Albert Einstein, Aristotle, Socrates, Galileo, Leonardo DaVinci, Stephen Hawking, Nikolai Tesla, and thousands more of Histories great minds. Yet there is one glaring problem that keeps them from solidifying this scenario. Barry's not much more than a sharp street hustler with more hyperbole than substance and a slightly above average IQ.(avg. is 85)
If Barry were as sharp as touted they would be more than happy to release his academic records from Occidental College, Columbia, Harvard, or any of his published papers or articles from his community organizing days. As a matter of fact the only 2 touted publications by Shifty are his 2 books 1 of which was a miserable failure so poorly written that it was a privately paid for publishing. The second written after several years affiliation with Bill Ayers has an amazing new syntax, verse and writing style that was "inspired" by Mr. Ayers coaching Obama. So much so that it is almost a carbon copy of several books written by Bill the Bomber right down to the "definable writing styles". And after personally researching with several members of Mensa, we could not find anywhere in their records of Barry ever being tested. read more »
Top 10 Conservatives of 2011
10. Andrew Cuomo – Yes, really. As I wrote earlier this year, “When Democrats cut spending and refuse to raise taxes, as New York Governor Andrew Cuomo has—i.e. when they abandon their party’s core philosophy and govern like conservatives—they enjoy skyrocketing popularity ratings and set their constituents on a path to financial solvency.” Cuomo’s late-career, probably temporary, but remarkable conversion followed the example set by New Jersey governor Chris Christie, who also stood up to public sector unions, slashed spending, and held down taxes.
9. Darrell Issa – California Representative Darrell Issa held hearings this summer on the Justice Department’s botched, scandalous Operation Fast and Furious gun-trafficking sting operation, including gripping testimony from ATF officials from Phoenix and Mexico. Recently Attorney General Eric Holder was forced to admit that Fast and Furious was “flawed in its concept and flawed in its execution”—kind of like his boss’s presidency. Along with the Treasury Department’s pursuit of the administration’s tainted $535 million loan to solar energy company Solyndra, Issa’s persistent work erased the laughable notion that the corrupt Obama tenure has remained blissfully transgression-free. read more »
“We Are Not Hiring Until Obama Is Gone”.
Bill Looman is not someone’s political hack. He’s far from being the left’s favorite guy right now, also. Bill is a ten year Marine veteran, who would like nothing more than to grow his company. Pretty obviously, when he started placing signs in the windows of his company vehicles and a large billboard in front of his offices, he had no idea that he, his company, and his signs, would go viral.
Through my own professional acquaintances, and being in a business that quite frequently brings me into contact with business owners, particularly here on the left coast, I can see that overbearing taxation and regulation by an all but totalitarian state government, completely and totally unresponsive to the people they are supposed to serve, have cost Californians millions of jobs and billions of dollars.
Extreme leftist governance has placed this once most prosperous region in the world into a depression economy with 44 or 45 billion dollars worth of unfunded liability, It’s no wonder that businesses will not commit to hiring new personnel, and only grudgingly replace losses due to attrition.
Bill Looman’s company, US Cranes LLC, manufactures and services overhead cranes and monorail lift systems. Well, guess what? Gee whiz, and all that stuff… Overhead cranes are for the most part utilized by companies that manufacture things… or have a need of a heavy lifting capability. Not accidentally, manufacturing on all levels has been the special targets of Obama’s agents of destruction, as has the energy sector. read more »
Even in fiscal crisis, Democrats won’t cut spending
- By Senator Jim Demint
Democrats on the so-called “Super Committee” have demonstrated why their party is disqualifying itself from any rational discussion when it comes to cutting spending.
The deficit committee was tasked with reducing the deficit by $1.2 trillion over the next ten years, but Democrats refused to make any kind of deal unless it included more than a trillion dollars of tax increases. One of their proposals, that remember is supposed to cut spending, contained billions of dollars in new stimulus spending! Despite the overwhelming evidence that the stimulus didn’t work, they are committed to funding more boondoggles big and small, like Solyndra and research for exotic ants and monkeys.
It is stunning. To meet their meager target, the Super Committee didn’t even need to cut a single penny from the budget, but only slow the rate of increase in spending by a fraction. Rather than letting the country rack up $23.4 trillion of debt by 2021, the Super Committee only needed to to keep it rising to $21.3 trillion. Still Democrats refused. $6 trillion in new deficit spending wasn’t enough for them. To Democrats, the answer of when to cut spending is simple: never.
The federal government is now $15 trillion in debt, the country is mired in recession, unemployment is at record highs, but Democrats believe taxpayers must sacrifice more so Washington doesn’t have to. Even on the brink of fiscal collapse, Democrats want to take more from American families and businesses so the government can spend more, not less. That, in a nutshell, is why the Super Committee failed and why Washington is incapable of making any of the necessary reforms to get the economy moving again. read more »
Pepper Spray Is the New Patchouli
The police warned that if protestors didn’t move, force would be used to remove them. Protestors didn’t move. Force was used to remove them.
What’s the big deal?
Liberals were aghast at last Friday’s video showing Police Lt. John Pike shooting pepper spray at a row of seated protestors blocking a walkway at the University of California at Davis. The protestors were barricading the path against officers trying to arrest students who had violated the college’s order prohibiting pitching tents on the quad.
Curiously, the seated protestors had their heads down and eyes covered during the entire 10-second assault. This may have had something to do with the fact that the sadistic monster Pike had raised his bright-red pepper spray can in the air and shook it for about five minutes before spraying, in order to warn the protestors about what was coming. In the video, onlookers can be heard calling out, “Keep your eyes closed!” “Cover your eyes!” and “Protect yourself!” Upon being sprayed, none of the seated protestors appeared to cry out in pain, though it was difficult to hear over the onlookers wailing, “You guys are supposed to protect us!”
One hysterical woman in the video can be heard yowling, “Why are you doing this? These are children!” which I guess is supposed to be aurally reminiscent of “It’s for the children!”
For those who don’t belong to the Young Democratic Socialists, pepper spray is a commonly used, non-lethal crowd control agent that is a chemical cousin of mace and other tear gases. It induces watery eyes, runny nose, and coughing—which can’t be any worse than the symptoms of Zuccotti Lung. read more »
