QUOTE MASH: The left’s worst nightmare—straight talking conservatives
The right has plenty of folks that are smart, sassy and say it as it is.
Barack Obama’s hubris is legendary; his acolytes an obedient army of foot soldiers willing to attack the motives, reputation, even the age and ethnicity of anyone who dare criticize. Disagree with this White House and you will be accused of being a racist, idiot, old-white-fool, or if you’re really lucky, all three. The arrogance has reached a new level when liberal journalists and former Clinton Administration aides incite the wrath of Obama—just ask Bob Woodward, Lanny Davis and National Journal Editor Ron Fournier.
Those of us right-of-center are used to the smears. But since we’re never ones to be skittish, we have plenty in our ranks that are smart, sassy and say it as it is. As for the so-called “lack of diversity” of American conservatives, well, that’s hogwash: Malkin to Gutfeld, Ailes to Ingraham, Elder, Loesch, Miller, and Tantaros. A Colonel and a Judge, and the Goldberg twins (metaphorically speaking, that is).
Each and every one of them, in their own words, grinding the gears of the intolerant Left…
Woodsy On The Rampage: The Ecology Of Radical Environmentalism
In this era of hyperterrorism where every Tom, Dick, and Abdul with a grudge against society because of a rotten childhood blows up a bus or shoots up a post office, many are not too concerned about the activities of other outcasts striving to save the spotted owl or kangaroo rat with methods outside accepted political procedure since the most violent terrorists create the more pressing security concerns. However, simply because radical environmentalists aren’t known for eliminating their opposition with explosives, that does not mean that this movement challenging many of the presuppositions of modern technocratic society is not worthy of our attention.
The radical environmental movement began in opposition to the growing establishmentarian attitude of mainstream environmental groups such as the Audubon Society, the Sierra Club, the Wilderness Society, the Natural Resources Defense Council, the National Wildlife Federation, the Izaak Walton League, the Defenders of Wildlife, the Environmental Defense Fund, the National Parks & Conservation Association, and the Environmental Policy Institute who are collectively referred to as “the Group of Ten (Scarce, 16). These organizations take a relatively pragmatic stand towards the preservation of the nation’s environmental treasures. For example, some of these mainstream groups agreed to let the government construct Glenn Canyon Dam in Arizona, and in other instances, these groups have been modest in the amount they demand be set aside for preservation. read more »
Detroit: The Killing of a great American city
Detroit was the Great American Dream sucked dry by the Great Society.
Detroit holds a special place in my heart. It is where my grandmother, mother and I were born and my dad arrived as a teenager to work 16-hour days on the assembly line and drive a taxi. Once a blue-collar haven of two million people with leafy neighborhoods and a world renowned zoo and arts institute, it earned the nickname “city of homes” because it didn’t have the crowded high-rise tenements of the northeast.
Today, however, the bustling metropolis is a crumbling, crime-ridden shell of its former greatness: In 1950, it proudly claimed America’s highest per-capita income; today it grips the lowest. For that, we can thank 60 years of misguided liberal policies. read more »

Stop the excuses: Killer Christopher Dorner is no hero
Trying to justify the unjustifiable and exploiting yet another tragedy for a political agenda is unseemly and immoral
After four murders and a manhunt that ended with his suicide and a widely televised cabin fire, Christopher Dorner gained thousands of new fans. This is the man who assassinated a 27-year-old woman, her fiancé and two police officers because of a years-old beef with the Los Angeles Police Department. Blaming racism for his dismissal, the ex-cop wrote a rambling manifesto that paradoxically called for stiffer gun control laws.
Unhinged? “I sort of expected it,” said a former girlfriend. read more »
The 2nd. Amendment: Upon This Rock I Will Build A Republic
The 2nd. Amendment is the cornerstone upon which all of our other freedoms and liberties are protected and reinforced. Without it, the rest are just hollow words with no way of enforcing them except trough legal action which is and will always be violated by those that do not prescribe to the law.
There are only 2 methods to get anyone to take action, reason and force and if you cannot force me to act then you must reason me with your argument. The progressive socialists have been manipulating a segment of the population in this Nation for well over 100 years through their arguments that create an emotional response that forces a controlled reaction that obscures intellectual action. They use the heated moment of emotional response to get their myopic misanthropes to jump and then propagate the discord with a continual barrage of Pavlovian response words that they have ingrained into the modern populace through the media and educational systems they control.
They also understand that they have a very narrow window to motivate this group because after about 3 weeks even the average double digit modern American who redefines the term low information citizen, starts to lose the emotional motivation and moves back towards complacency, more concerned with their daily doldrums and escaping their pitiful existence than staying engaged in their masters rage. read more »
QUOTE MASH: American perspectives, circa 2013
Young, old, multi-ethnic...today's most intutive conservative thinkers
Leave the shrieking to Maddow and Matthews, the scurrilous accusations to Maher, Media Matters, Bashir, The New York Times, and the slobbering Obama acolytes. The demagoguery they spew painting conservatives as a racist band of dying white brothers may assuage their hate-mongering base but will do little to inspire the hearts and minds of people in our great nation.
That challenge is best left to those whose ideals expand beyond pandering to the chosen few. And contrary to conventional wisdom, the individuals who respect the intelligence and values of the American people are not progressives, liberals or leftists; they are independents, libertarians and conservatives.
Starting today, we are sharing the words of today’s most intuitive thinkers, whether they be writers, commentators, academics, business and military leaders, or in the political arena. They are young, middle-aged and elderly, male and female; gay, heterosexual, black, Latino and white. In other words, Americans. All of us.

A Nation That Lies Together, Dies Together ... Why?
I have given much thought to what I am writing in this blog edition, because I know that it will rub many people the wrong way. America is dying! Yes, the America that was founded 236 years ago, by primarily Godly men and women, and founded to be a moral, upright, and primarily Godly people, is dying a slow, painful death. In my title, I simply ask, WHY? The answer my friends, is very simple, and that is because we have now raised several generations of citizens by educating them with LIES. The old saying is true, if you tell a lie often enough, and long enough, people will believe it to be the truth! How sad.
What prompted my deep thought on this matter you might ask? It was something President Obama said in his inauguration address. He used his platform to become the first President in our history to openly and unconditionally support and equate the lifestyle choice of homosexuality, with the civil rights struggles of his black ancestors, who died by the hundreds of thousands in their struggle for equality in America. If I were a black man or women in America today, I would be so ashamed of the President that they are so in love with. Here is his quotation; “Our journey is not complete until our gay brothers and sisters are treated like anyone else under the law, for if we are truly created equal, then surely the love we commit to one another must be equal as well.” REALLY? I will come back to this thought at the end of this article. read more »
Liberals brand patriotism as militaristic gimmickry. What would Reagan think?
The left takes aim at patriotic displays at sporting events
This week would have been the 102nd birthday of Ronald Reagan. Born above a general store in Tampico, Illinois, our 40th President personified our national spirit—hardworking, honest, independent, sometimes stubborn and always optimistic. He was an unwavering and unapologetic patriot whose love of country endeared him to millions of his fellow Americans and enraged our nation’s foes.
Thirty years later, however, Reagan’s kind of sunny patriotism is under attack. Not by international foes of old, but by malcontents on the American left who fear a chorus of “America the Beautiful” at a football game is “vaudeville that quiets political dissent.” You can’t make this stuff up. read more »
