Elections once again

Politics, well you can’t escape from it no matter how hard you try. Especially when it’s an election year like it was in the year two thousand and eight where things took a dramatic and pleasant turn in America when the son of an immigrant student made history by becoming the first president of African descent in America. I remember at that time I was involved in every campaign trail for the democrats in my home state of Texas. Even though Texas is known to be a republican state, we campaigned hard for our candidates’ right from the lower offices in the county to the biggest positions there which are the state senator seat and governorship. It may also seem crazy right now that we tried to make that state blue when it was the state belonging to the outgoing president at that time George Bush.

Now we are gearing up once again for another election in the year two thousand and twelve, our current president is up against the republican mitt Romney and already the candidates are bashing each other with campaign advertisements. One is blaming the other for mistakes done in the past; Obama is being accused of lying to the American people in the previous elections when he got into office. Romney on the other hand is accused of being out of touch with the ordinary citizen since he is so rich. I wonder who will win the coming elections, only time will tell.
