Miss California keeps title

It seems we might have reached the end of the Miss California saga today, given that Donald Trump put the kibosh on recent efforts to dethrone her.

Since she gave her famous answer in support of traditional marriage at the recent Miss USA pageant, she has been the target of derision and attacks by liberals who want to do a public "beat down" on anyone in such a high profile position (especially in the pop culture) who would take such a conservative view on the issue, (despite that it's the same position both Obama and Hillary took in their presidential campaigns).

To her credit, she's stuck with it, and even went further, offering her support to groups pushing pending state ballot campaigns in support of traditional marriage.

And Trump has to get some credit for not caving in to the pressure to throw her under the bus.

The other thing that seems to be lost in this debate is that this whole thing got started in a beauty contest, which, you know, should be about BEAUTY.  Not about political views, left or right.
