Justice has been Done, Now it's time for Diligence and Preparedness..
I am sure there are thousands of blogs today with the news that our Nation's number one enemy Osama Bin Laden is dead. That the front pages of every newspaper in America carries this news. What makes it even more satisfying, his death comes at the hand of the United States Military. I don't know how we can ever show our gratitude and thanks to those brave soldiers, but must remember that our brave soldiers don't serve for the glory, they serve our great country to keep all of us safe and protect our freedoms. This is a debt to each and everyone of our service men and women, that I doubt we can ever repay or express the amount of pride that we have for each and every member of the military.
I remember exactly where I was on September 11, 2001. I was standing in my kitchen, the television was on in the living-room with the sound muted. I remember glancing at the television and watching a plane crash into one of the towers of the World Trade Center. I remember thinking that there must have been something wrong with the plane or the pilot, for such an unbelievable mistake to be made. And then the second tower was hit. The Pentagon was hit, and another plane had crashed in Pennsylvania. As the reports began to confirm that this was an act of terrorism, the towers collapsed. I will never forget that moment, it was like you were watching it in slow motion, that this possibly could not be happening in America.
Unfortunately the “War on Terror” is not over. American soil is probably an even bigger target now that we have eliminated their leader. Our diligence to patriotism and freedom cannot waiver in the days ahead. Americans must unite for the safety of our country and do whatever is necessary to be prepared for the undoubted retaliation that will come. It may not come today or tomorrow, but it will come. We are not going to know when, or in what form a terrorist attack in revenge will be attempted.
What Al Quada doesn't seem to understand that we are Americans, we are patriots, and will do whatever is necessary to protect our families and our country. That as Americans we will never let our guard down, until we know that each and every citizen is safe, and our military is home and reunited with their families.
