Conservatism Vs. Liberalism

There is a battle raging in our country and it is not being fought by politicians.

It is being fought by us, the people.

I hear day in and day out, people lamenting on the direction America is headed and I hear complaint after complaint about the "crooked politicians" that are in Washington.

How did they get there? Are they unlike us? What would we do if we were there?

Questions, questions and more questions.

We, the people, elected them, sad but true.

Democrat, Republican, Conservative and Liberal. Most hear these terms but are still not quite sure what they mean.

The liberal left has changed the name of the Democrat Party to the "Democratic" party, hoping to soften their image up some by invoking some lofty idea that the Democrat Party is actually fighting for the "little man".

I have a bit of news for my fellow Americans, We do not live in a democracy, we live in a "Republic". If we lived in a democracy,no one would do any of the work, pay taxes or get free healthcare because the masses would prefer to live under the thumb of an opressive ruler rather than take responsibility of their own direction.

In a republic, we elect a representative to "represent" us in Washington. After all of the corruption, loan sharking and other back door deals that all of our fine elected "representatives" have been party to, we still have this insane notion that theyare actually doing what they said they would do if elected.

It was once said "Power corrupts, Absolute power corrupts absolutely", truth does hurt.

The monikers "Democrat" and "Republican" explained in short...

Democrat = The supposed will of the people.

Republican = The preservation of the ideology of the Founding Fathers.

The monikers "Conservatism" and "Liberalism" explained in short...

Liberalism = Anything goes, the suppression of theological ideology and the suppression of free speech.

Conservatism = The strict conservation of the most basic tenets of the Constitution and the acknowledgement of GOD as the CREATOR as our Founding Fathers did.

Liberals believe that there are grey lines everywhere and that everyone is a potential victim.
Liberals believe in Abortion, Gay Marriage and the Hoax that is Global Warming (now called Climate Change). They also believe that government is the best solution to any problem.

Our "Democrat Presidential Candidate" BHO, would like to pull out of the War in Iraq immediately, leaving millions of Iraqis to die needlessly in the bloodbath to follow our departure(not unlike the Killing Fields of Cambodia).

He will talk to known terrorist leaders of Communist and Socialist countries without pre-conditions. He will attempt to reverse the many tax cuts that Bush instituted in his first year as President.

He will also attempt to institute some sort of nationalized healthcare system. Ask a vet at the VA how well socialized healthcare works for them.

The basic fundamentals of Liberalism is a direct attack on the progress of mankind.

Conservatism, I think, is quite misunderstood.

People view Conservatism with the understanding that it is the support of the status quo. That couldn't be further from the truth.

The basic fundamentals of the modern Conservative movement is the upholding of the Constitution and the basic freedoms that it affords us.

Freedoms of religion, speech and the right to bear arms are all coveted freedoms. Without these rights, we would not be the country we are today.

We have spawned an entire generation that believe that America is the root cause of all the evil in the world today.

I would not know where to begin to describe what the world would be like without us.
