Speaking to the perceived inequalities between the sexes in regards to domestic labor, President Obama said in an NBC interview that he thought men "need to be knocked across the head every once in a while."
Many would brush the comments aside as the Chief Executive's attempt at humor. However, as the nation has learned as of result of Rush Limbaugh's failure to acquire a stake in the ownership of the Rams, some thought are so vile that they cannot be enunciated according to the NFL officials that denied the famed broadcaster this economic opportunity.
What if Obama had said every once in a while women need to be knocked across the head to be reminded of just how good they have it in this county? Given that Michelle had never felt pride in America until this past election cycle, it seems this is a lesson he has failed to get across to his little woman.
Radical feminists will respond that domestic violence against women is something its victims are so ashamed of that it can never be mentioned in a jocular manner.
Than isn’t it even more so when the victims are men? For the last time I checked, there were not entire cable networks and television programming blocks dedicated to stories of the struggles of battered men or entire charities established supposedly to address the needs of battered men which quietly toss their daughters into the streets for having reached an arbitrary age still well below the age of majority and irrespective of whether or not these youngsters are capable of providing for themselves.
It’s doubtful that Michelle Obama has done much housework her entire married life. For even though the First Lady has feigned an interest in puttering around in the dirt with vegetables, she probably didn’t do much with the bounty beyond the initial photo-op. For you see, the Obama’s brought their private chef with them to the White House, indicating Michelle has been neglecting this wifely and motherly obligation for quite some time.
From the way Barack framed the issue, Michelle does not really enjoy being a mother all that much. The Benevolent Father (a title applied to Ming the Merciless on the SciFi channel’s adaptation of Flash Gordon and now just as applicable to the President of the United States since he thinks he is qualified to speak on how to run our families when he can’t even keep the country on track) said in the interview, “Michelle was trying to figure out, OK, if the kids get sick why is it that she’s the one who has to take time off of her job to pick them up from school as opposed to me? If...the girls need to shop for clothes...why is it her burden and not mine?”
Well because, as to the clothes bit, if Barack (or any other man for that matter) brought the wrong thing home, it is going to be his rear that is going to get chewed out. As to the more serious matter of a sick child, even though it is an individual family matter to work out, if Michelle Obama is going to cop such an attitude about the matter, perhaps she should have not gotten married or had children.
If this is how the First Lady feels about things, perhaps the Obama's are not the ideal parents the media makes them out to be to which the rest of us fail to measure up to. For parents (especially mothers) that really do put their children above everything else don't go around complaining about it when called upon to perform the most basic parental functions. So instead of lecturing the rest of us about the glories of mandatory voluntarism, perhaps someone ought to giver her an earful about how parents truly dedicated to their children don't go around complaining about those times when their children really do need them.
Often when certain people feel guilty about something from their past or that of their family, they become fanatic to the other extreme and make it their mission to ferret out less significant shortcomings in those around them. The world is going to Hades in a handbasket, yet Obama thinks one of the pressing concerns needing to be addressed is the occasional absentmindedness of fathers who otherwise provide and care for their families.
Obama told NBC, "There's no doubt that our family, like a lot of families out there, were ones in which the men are still a little obtuse about this stuff." That is putting it mildly and frankly an insult to American fathers if they are to be judged by what passed as male parenting in the Obama family. And frankly, the way Barack's mother went pining after Third World deadbeats and abandoned her son to pursue anthropological studies in the area of Indonesian blacksmithing, according to Jerome Corsi, she's hardly a role model worthy of praise or emulation either.
Obama praised his father up one end and down the other in his Inaugural address. In his memoir “Dreams Of My Father”, Obama attempts to excuse his father’s behavior.
What is it exactly that Barack’s pappy is suppose to have done? For starters, when he married Obama’s mother, he had another wife in Kenya he conveniently failed to mention.
As shameful as that is, I Timothy 5:18 teaches that the person that doesn’t take care of their family is worse than an infidel. And it seems Pappy Obama refused to take advantage of the fresh starts America is renowned for and that draw people here from around the world. Obama’s father eventually essentially abandoned young Barack as well.
Pappy Obama just wasn’t a sappy provider and nurturer. Barack’s half-brother Mark Okoth Obama Ndesandjo in the book "Nairobi To Shenzen" contends that their father was actually a wife beater.
No family is perfect. Both parents (that includes mothers as well fathers) often fail to live up to the perfect ideal. However, short of profound negligence, it is not really the place of the federal government in the personage of its highest official to comment in an almost ex-cathedra fashion as to what goes on in our homes as to household banalities such as the division of domestic labor.

Frau Obama denounces her daughter as overweight. No doubt this was a dry run for the Khmeresque plans they have for the rest of us where, in good Communist fashion, we will be forced to sit in a circle and criticize our friends and family as our Maoist overlords look in, taking careful notes for each of our files.
The Obama hag's obesity initiative is called "Let's Move". How about another called "Let's mind our own business". Better yet, "Let's Stick To The Constitution".
If it's right for a 16 year old girl to have the baby inside of her salted, hacked to pieces, and vacuumed out without her parents knowing about it because it's "her body", isn't it her right to be overweight whether the Obamas like it or not?
A margarine ad lauds Denmark for banning transfats. Since gay marriage and prostitution is legal there, perhaps the Danes should be as selective about what else they put in their mouths.
If homeowners can be liable for and potentially fined over snow not removed from the sidewalk within 24 hours of a snowfall, shouldn't some sort of penalty be assessed against a municipality failing to clear the streets within the same time frame?
Bill Nye "The Science Guy" insinuates that questioning global warming is nearly unpatriotic. MSNBC certainly scrapes the bottom of the barrell in search of talent. Even PBS stopped paying attention to this quack in the mid 90's.
School systems considered canceling President's Day in order to make up a snow day. Would they consider doing this with Martin Luther King Day? More importantly, could it be done without a riot resulting?
If the Biology faculty at the University of Alabama where their colleague denied tenure went on a shooting rampage wants to condemn her for the act, they must renounce the materialistic determinism inherent to the Darwinistic wing controlling the academic discipline.
The homicidal University of Alabama professor was a devoted Obama supporter. While Obama can't be held responsible for the shooting at the University of Alabama, the media certainly doesn't mind attempting to link conservative populist thought with acts of violence. So we should certainly return the favor by highlighting one of their's when there is a rampage.
Until Oprah gives up her personal chef, she should keep her mouth shut about the rest of us "living simply". That is just another euphemism for communitarian wealth redistribution.
"Know Your Heritage" is a quiz show "focusing on Black History". With majority Black teams and a token White that wants to be Black, isn't such a program inherently racist by co-opting the pronoun "Your". Could one name a White-themed show that without Sharpton working the crowd into a homicidal froth?
Interesting how in a Howard Kurtz Washington Post profile admitted dyke Rachel Madcow criticizes Fox News of activist journalism that "inspires political participation". Yet she herself was applauded throughout the piece for advocating unbridled buggery in the military.
If Biden thinks we are not in danger of another terrorist attack, he's even more of a doofus than originally estimated. To make such an assessment of the world in which we live that he did makes Forest Gump seem like Sun Tzu.
If Biden is going to wear his Catholicism on his sleeve (or rather his forehead as evidenced by Lenten ashes), perhaps he should consistently embrace the more important aspects of that faith, transcending gaudy ostentations rituals, such as opposition to abortion and sodomy
Hopefully for the sake of America, Biden will give up stupidity for Lent. Biden with his ashes looked like one of those “Indian fellas” he said worked down at the 7-11.
Stephen Colbert called Palin a "F-ing retard". Seems the appellation is more suited for Biden regarding his assessment regarding the terrorist threat.
The New York Times insinuated that the Tea Party movement is violent through the headline "Tea Party Movement Lights Fuse for Rebellion on Right". Can't say I closely monitor this media dinosaur, but one must ask if the old gray lady, as the paper is called, pointed out during the presidential campaign that some of Obama's supporters such as Bill Ayers have lit more actual fuses than any Tea Party attendee
If Disney is giving admission tickets in an exchange for a day of "service" to approved organizations, how is this different than providing these individuals with a day's wage? Better yet, how is charitable labor in exchange for an amusement park ticket any more noble than the compensated services Americans perform on a daily basis as part of their regular employment?
In his lecture "The Church & The Arts", cultural analyst Ken Meyers laments how in the New World we did not inherit the mother continents more contemplative disposition. I guess dirt poor pioneers carving out an existence would have been too tired by the end of the day. Besides, before more contemporary times Europe's more reflective classes built their lives of leisure on the backs of those that couldn't otherwise get ahead along various cultural fronts from religion, to political freedom, to economic opportunities. What do you think drove those dullard working stiffs here in the first place?
Regarding the Mother Teresa Stamp. How many other U.S. postage stamps are there of non-American citizens (those once broadly categorized as foreigners. Furthermore, are there any commemorating Protestants or do we only pander to Catholics in this manner? If not, where are the C.S. Lewis or Francis Schaffer stamps?
Olympic uniforms should not be cluttered with all kinds of extraneous personal messages no matter how patriotic such sentiments might be. That is why they are called “uniforms“. Supporting the troops should not be invoked as justification for wiggling out of reasonably agreed-upon rules. The flags of their respective countries is the extent of the pride athletes should be permitted to exhibit. We don’t need members of the Afghan or Pakistani delegations wearing “The Taliban Rocks” decals.
In response to their antics at the dog show, someone should unfurl a banner at a PETA event pointing out that organizations alleged involvement in atrocities against animals.
Interesting how one day the Huffington Post can distribute a mass email of Bill Maher mocking Sarah Palin’s baby and the next another condemning a speaker at C-PAC for joking about President Obama’s former drug use. Disabled babies had no choice about being born with a deformity. Crackheads make a choice to shove narcotics up their noses.
Liberals are free to verbalize the vilest of things regarding Sarah Palin’s baby. Yet no one was suppose to admit what a homely teen Chelsea Clinton was or even comment on the obvious that the Obama whelps enjoy school lunches markedly superior to those ingested by the average American school child.
A cyber-attack on world computers has been traced back to a Chinese vocational school. Students in that country learn to take down their enemies' electronic infrastructure. American students here learn that Heather has two mommies, to despise the Founding Fathers as slave holding Whites, and how to slip a condom over a cucumber. What nation do you think will dominate the globe by the second half of the 21st century?
Unlike Michael Savage or Mark Levin, Glenn Beck almost sounds giddy and enthusiastic about the prospect of socioeconomic collapse. As in the case of Pat Robertson, if there is a silly grin plastered across your face when discussing a topic that is going to result in massive casualties whether you explicitly mention body counts or not, discerning people are going to find you a tad disturbing.
A documentary about Yellowstone on Animal Planet said bull elk roll in their own urine to increase their masculine appeal. One might not want to read the ingredients on a bottle of Old Spice too closely.
A Dodge advertisement claims Presidents' Day commemorates George Washington purchasing his first truck. Could similar Madison Avenue frivolity be broadcast regarding Martin Luther King Day?
To refute the illogic of racism, it's pointed out that if you needed a doctor you wouldn't care about the physician's ethnicity? Then why should I care if my pizza is made by real Italians? Besides, what would an "artificial Italian" be? To carry this to it's logical conclusion, ought a hamburger made by an authentic German actually be more desirable?
Letterman thinks the Iraqi rabble-rouser tossing a shoe at President Bush is still comical. What would be really funny would be a process sever tossing a summons at Letterman to appear at a paternity hearing or sexual harassment trial.
A Maryland municipality plans to provide $10,000 to local merchants to replace plastic and neon signs with ones complying with anti-capitalist, Bohemian aesthetics. Things might be going to Ghenna in a handbasket, but the important thing is to look artsy in our destitution and insolvency. Am sure our Red Chinese masters will require nothing less.

If Maryland Delegate Henry Heller wants to ban marriages between first cousins with the exception of those unable to reproduce and he has in the past supported legislation authorizing gay marriage, logically he would have to extend his blessing to gay first cousins that want to get married. While we are abolishing taboos, why doesn’t he go ahead and endorse marriage between gay siblings.
Prince George’s Community College wallows in blatant bigotry and sexism.
According to the 3/4/10 Gazette, the community college has established a leadership academy open only to Black and Hispanic males. The director of the program, Brian Hamlin, is quoted as saying, “We want you to stay in college.” In other words, it’s hoped Whites and females will drop out. So much for it being content of character rather than color of skin that counts. If White residents aren’t able to enjoy all of the benefits for which the county’s notoriously high property taxes are extracted to cover, then shouldn’t Whites get a tax break

And no, the headline is not about a form of religious persecution.
A number of churches are turning to Ultimate-Style fighting as a way to attract young men back to the pews.
Eventually, as in the case with so-called "Christian tattoos" (ones added after conversion rather than prior too), one will be categorized as not being devoted enough to the Lord if one is not willing to have one's body mutilated in this manner.
If pastors really want to draw in testosterone oozing crowds, why not have two chicks whacking on each other? But that goes too far some may respond.
How so? It is no more immoral to have two women fighting each other without legitimate cause as two men. And in this day of anything goes and sloppy theology, any undue titillation that results could simply be explained and celebrated as the God-bestowed appreciation of the female form inherent to any red-blooded American male.
If churches want to be serious about luring actual manly men back to their congregations how about more songs and lessons that emphasis objective doctrinal or historical content rather than the lyrical equivalent of Jesus blowing in your ear as is the case with many of these praise and worship choruses as well as providing study opportunities where one is free to share what's on one's heart if one feels led to but one is not branded as a heretical individualist if one decides not to.

If a male member of Congress said they could get more done if women and other assorted minorities were sent home since these tend to be the demographics that tend to think the government owes them a living even if they could provide it for themselves, we'd never hear the end of it.
If Leftists are going to constantly make a hullabaloo over the propagation of stereotypes, one of the inferences of Rep. Carol Shea-Porter must be addressed.
In her remarks she insinuates that only the female members of the legislative body have been responsible for taking care of family.
It should be pointed out men that go out to work each day are also taking care of their families.
Anyone that argues otherwise should support the abolition of child support laws along with government welfare handouts and see just how long children thrive without any kind of material and nutritional sustenance.
This brings us to yet another observation.
It is safe to say that most of the female members of Congress did not come from the ranks of scrubwomen earning minimum wage.
As such, many no doubt possess professional backgrounds where they actually placed their careers over and above that of their children.
Rep. Shea-Porter (with her hyphenated last name indicating that her identity derived from her role as wife and mother is not sufficient for her) can pull the public leg all she wants; however, it is most likely the babysitters and nannies that have taken care of the children of the female members of Congress.
Thus, when this November rolls around, we should toss out both genders also irrespective of how the plumbing is hooked up. read more »
Obama certainly looks down his nose in a condescending manner. Why do I hear "KNEEELLLLLLLLL BEFORE ZOD!!!" from Superman II in my ear?
In opening the State of Union, Obama mentioned the Speaker of the House, the Vice President and the American people. What, no acknowledgement of illegal aliens? Obama apparently is not as tolerant as made to appear.
Isn't Chris Matthews forgetting that Obama is Black more offensive then Harry Reid saying "negro dialect"?
By invoking Bull Run & the Bloody Sunday of the civil rights movement in the State of the Union, Obama implies disagreement with him is racist.
Obama claimed he took office amidst growing government debt. It's getting even worse under him.
Biden certainly seemed gleeful about hosing the banks. Biden looked like a bobblehead the way he couldn't keep his neck still.
Guess we’ll see at tax time if Obama is blowing smoke up our rears about not raising taxes.
If Obama is supposedly one of the greatest orators of world history surpassing Bush’s limited elocutionary abilities, why did he use the word “cops” rather than “police”?
President plans to toss $30 billion here; $30 billion there. Reminds me of the Simpsons bit about Internet stock.
And what if the job bill Obama demands “without delay” is delayed?
I guess all that clean energy technology China is inventing was the cause of all that smog at the Beijing Olympics.
Will Obama really allow offshore drilling or is this a phantom promise like clean-coal technology?

Those still not convinced should ask themselves before they run off and join such groups how much control they want to cede over their lives to the beneficence of the collective. For once one signs over the very right to ownership to one’s dwelling and possessions, where does it end?
Willing to relinquish rights to the conjugal affections of your spouse to the group? Don’t snicker.
In many cults, those not willing to surrender their spouses to the group are labeled as being insufficiently devoted to the group or "too individualistic" in orientation. Interestingly this allegation is invoked increasingly in the churches of today as they totter ever closer to the edges of apostasy and unbelief.
Those enamored with their own smug progressivism will claim such excesses are more characteristic of the religious mindset. Secularists would never stand for such outrages and the infringement on the most basic of relationships?
Think so do you? Though he might have started off religious, before the last drop of Kool-Aid was slurped, Jim Jones' position on the Scriptures and the beauties of socialism had more in common with the National Counsel of Churches than Moral Majority or the Christian Coalition. And for those that think Marx is the cat's whiskers, what do they have to say about this thinker's proposal that the individual family and private marriages should be abolished?
And even if one happens to have a proclivity to these bizarre living arrangements without all the kinky wifeswapping and such, on what grounds does one object when these compounds lay claim to your children? Some of these COMMUNITIES conspire to undermine familial bonds between parents and offspring in a group setting or by minimizing the time parents spend alone with their biological progeny. read more »
For decades, American motorists have been subjected to propaganda insisting that they either need to drive less or give up safe, comfortable automobiles in favor of what amount to motorized coffins in order to preserve natural resources and environmental quality. Now that this policy goal is pretty much on the road to being implemented, the elites running our lives are not content to sit back in the glow of their accomplishment but are rather laying the groundwork for the next phase in their grand dream of limiting the free movement of the American people.
One would think the increasing popularity of electric and hybrid automobiles would please transportation planners and social engineers. However, as most realize somewhere along life's journey, getting what you want is not always what you expected.
For while hybrid cars might cut back on emissions and fuel consumption, they also take a bite out of gas tax revenues. But instead of tightening their belts and learning to make due with less as they counsel you when you complain about rising fuel costs, government planners are now conniving to pass the hardship on to you by altering the way transportation taxes are assessed.
Currently, such taxes are gathered in about the fairest way possible (a concept seldom associated with taxes) by collecting it in an innocuously private manner from those cautious enough to pay in cash at the bump based upon how many gallons acquired. However, from a plan being considered in Oregon, motorized Americans will have to contend with another governmental intrusion into their lives of Orwellian proportions. read more »
Albert Mohler's sidekick Russel Moore denounced the Obama Effigy as "Satanic". Was this theologian as outspoken in condemning similar outrageous attacks against other political figures such President Bush and Sarah Palin? More importantly, would he now care to speak out against the Founding Fathers for similar protests against King George during the Revolutionary War, or is this form of protest only immoral when directed against a Black person?
New York City health officials in a pamphlet are teaching junkies the proper method for shooting up dope. Yet it must be pointed out that this is the jurisdiction where scholastic bakesales are on the verge of prohibition and where, if city officials had their way, table salt would be frowned upon apparently more now than hard narcotics.
French thought police plot to invade private homes. This is to be done in the name of preventing "psychological violence" by criminalizing robust domestic verbal disagreements. However, what advocates of this law might not be telling you is that, to the left-leaning man-haters out there, this offense consists of little more than simply disagreeing with a woman, verbally boring into a woman during a spat started by a woman, or merely speaking to one when they've basically told you to shutup.
It should be interesting to see how this law plays out. For you see, France is being overrun by Islamic immigrants and it is part of their religion to beat their wives and even kill them when they get out of line. Since France is a Western European social democracy, in most instances these multiculturalists lack the spine to declare that a foreign culture is in the wrong. Therefore, what will happen will be that the Muslims will continue to do whatever it is they do to their women and it will be the European male that will be further denuded for fear of criminal prosecution. read more »
Some may claim that this headline is a little strong. But if one goes back and studies history, one finds that Hitler also deemphasized the religious aspects of Christmas in deference to a generalized "winter holiday".
This was only Obama's first Christmas in the Oval Office. Yet the President has already tried to de-Christ Christmas in at least two instances.
It has come to public's attention that the White House considered not putting up its Nativity display. Instead, plans were considered for a "more inclusive" Christmas.
G.K. Chesterton said "Religious liberty might suppose to mean that everybody is free to discuss religion. In practice it means that hardly anybody is allowed to mention it." So in the vain attempt to feign a posture of expansive sensitivity, the Obama administration was on the verge of excluding those who had someone sitting on the throne of their hearts other than Barack Obama.
The President provided more insight into his theology at the lighting of the National Christmas Tree on the Ellipse just beyond the White House. Obama said, "Tonight, we celebrate a story that is as beautiful as it is simple. This story of a child born far from home to parents guided only by faith, but who would ultimately spread a message that has endured for more than 2000 years --- that...we are each called to love one another as brother and sister."
That is only part of the story. While Christ did come into the world to teach us that we are to love one another, more importantly, that love is only possible as a result of the part of His message that Obama deliberately omitted. That is that Christ came into the world to die for our sins and to rise from the dead so that whosoever would believe in Him would have everlasting life. read more »
