Beware conservative "extremists"!
...Obama's DHS is on watch
Obama's administration is on look-out for "right-wing extremists"...and it putting out the word to law enforcement agencies all across America to be on the alert.
Yes, really.
The Department of Homeland Security has just put out a groundbreaking report identifying these "extremists", which pretty much look like any conservative who happens to have a beef with Obama and/or big government/liberal policies.
This is one of those things that you really are torn about. As in, you get really angry at your government and then just reach the point of frustration that you have to laugh.
The guy has only been in office for three months, and already his minions are using the machinery of government to demonize conservatives as "extremists".
So just "who" qualifies? I guess generally, that, if you consider yourself a conservative, suffice it to say they probably look at you that way. But as for the specifics of the Department of Homeland Security report, the definition covers:
Rightwing extremism in the United States can be broadly divided into those groups, movements, and adherents that are primarily hate-oriented (based on hatred of particular religious, racial or ethnic groups), and those that are mainly antigovernment, rejecting federal authority in favor of state or local authority, or rejecting government authority entirely. It may include groups and individuals that are dedicated to a single issue, such as opposition to abortion or immigration.
In other words, all of you members of "Right to life" groups, Tea Party people protesting big-government spending (and taxing unborn children), those opposing amnesty for illegal aliens, or really just Americans who take the words of the Constitution seriously, (especially as it concerns limits on federal authority and protectios for state's rights) - YOU are an "extremist" in the eyes of your government.
Take heed.
Then there's this...
Rightwing extremists are harnessing this historical election as a recruitment tool. Many rightwing extremists are antagonistic toward the new presidential administration and its perceived stance on a range of issues, including immigration and citizenship, the expansion of social programs to minorities, and restrictions on firearms ownership and use. Rightwing extremists are increasingly galvanized by these concerns and leverage them as drivers for recruitment.
They're using the recent election as a "recruiting tool"! Well DUH! Go figure. The "conservatives" they have just relabeled as "extremists" are pointing to the recent election and its consequences as a reason for other people of like mind to wake up and get involved. What will these devious "extremists" think of next!
And notice that "range of issues" that these "extremists" are concerned about.
Can't help but wonder what kind of label these yo-yos would put on our Founding Fathers.
Another important thing to point out here I think is one of the byproducts of this type of thing. That being controlling the language. As in, now, "conservative" = "extremists".
Just like what they've done with "illegal aliens", but in reverse. As in, it used to be "illegal aliens"...then became "illegal immigrants"...then "undocumented immigrants"...and now "unauthorized immigrants", (or usually "undocumented workers").
And of course there's NO reson to be suspicious of this coming out just prior to Tax Day which will feature mass protests of "big government" in over 750 cities across the country. Nah, I'm just a paranoid extremists I suppose.
Big Brother strikes again.
