Bad "Dream Act", back again
You can't keep a bad idea down, at least not in Washington. The whole amnesty thing is like some creature from a bad horror movie that you just can't kill. To make things worse, this time they're trying to tie it on as a amendment to the Defense authorization bill. Amazing. (well, not really). Check this out:
A policy analyst at a prominent conservative think tank says amnesty legislationbeing offered by Senate Democrats – in the form of an amendment to the Defense bill -- may be dubbed the "Dream Act," but in reality it is a "nightmare."
The measure sponsored by Dick Durbin (D-Illinois) would provide amnesty to any illegal alien who claims to have entered the U.S. before the age of 16. It would also award illegal aliens with taxpayer-funded in-state tuition at American colleges and universities. ...
Under this proposed amendment, there would be no age limit. ...someone who is 65 years of age could claim that they were brought to the U.S. while they were less than 16 years of age. ...
...the "usual suspects" are behind this so-called "Dream Act", the Council of La Raza and other such pro-amnesty groups.
From NumbersUSA:
The floor vote on the amendment containing the DREAM Act amnesty — new number: SA 2919 — may occur tomorrow. It will take 41 NO votes to kill this amnesty. Currently, only 20 Senators are telling their constituents that they will vote NO on the amnesty.
But it's up to us to try and KEEP this thing dead. Call your Senators and let them know how you feel. The Senate Switchboard number is 202-224-3121. Call now!

Ron Paul can fix the immigration problem
Here is Ron Paul's position on the border and immigration:
Physically secure our borders and coastlines. We must do whatever it takes to control entry into our country before we undertake complicated immigration reform proposals.
Enforce visa rules. Immigration officials must track visa holders and deport anyone who overstays their visa or otherwise violates U.S. law. This is especially important when we recall that a number of 9/11 terrorists had expired visas.
No amnesty. Estimates suggest that 10 to 20 million people are in our country illegally. That’s a lot of people to reward for breaking our laws.
No welfare for illegal aliens. Americans have welcomed immigrants who seek opportunity, work hard, and play by the rules. But taxpayers should not pay for illegal immigrants who use hospitals, clinics, schools, roads, and social services.
End birthright citizenship. As long as illegal immigrants know their children born here will be citizens, the incentive to enter the U.S. illegally will remain strong.
Pass true immigration reform. The current system is incoherent and unfair. But current reform proposals would allow up to 60 million more immigrants into our country, according to the Heritage Foundation. This is insanity. Legal immigrants from all countries should face the same rules and waiting periods.

This amnesty, H1B = treason, and Hillary is main sponsor of them
They've been talking about this stealth amnesty on the other blogs. Honestly, even worse than the Dream Act provisions in this crap Amendment is the one to try and just about double the H1B visas, which as anyone with an American college degree and some skills has grimly learned, is a finely tuned attack against American workers seeking living wages. The H1B is one of the most awful pieces of legislation ever approved, nothing causes more direct harm to skilled American workers than H1B.
One of my friends was taking a look at the sponsors in the Senate of this Amendment, an act of treason against the American Republic and people if there ever was one.
And guess which Senator's name is at the top of the list?
Yeah, you guessed it-- Hillary Rodham Clinton. Yet more evidence of her campaign of treachery against the American people. I'm not much of a Giuliani fan, but truth is, he's probably the one who can crush Hillary Clinton in 2008, and crushing her is what we have to do for our very nation to survive. Hillary is an embarrassment to the American nation.
